BACK IN ENGLANDY!

Nicely showered and in desperate need of washing clothes but the washing machine has packed up!! Got back home today and missing the team already! The last week was action packed as the rest. We were in Morogoro for the final week. We were split into three groups and went to three different schools to teach. I was at the all girls school where we chatted, sat in on worship and even had to sing on my own in front of the class (!) we also had a basketball match which team Navs won. We lost 2-0 to morogoro secondary school in the football but drew 2-2 against the seminary school. We had the company of a lovely family called the matongas for supper and they took us on a picnic and for a swim by a waterfall on the last day (where i spectacularly stacked it and ended up with a pretty nasty shin wound!) Final bow tie award was obviously....you have guessed it....Reverend moon. We also celebrated Rufus cockneys Bday :) Final awards were recieved. I was pleased to say i was awarded for being the team member most likely to kidnap an african child! They were all so cute!!!
Well i shall sign off now until next time. Check facey B pics a group has been dedicated for them: AFC NAVS TANZANIA TOUR 2007 ("unbelivable scenes") xx

Hello! Got back to uhuru last night after a nightmare journey back from our volcano adventure - WE DID IT!!! We went on a 4x4 open top safari which was amzing. We saw zebra, gazelle, cheetah, buffalo, hippo, flamingo, ostrich, crane, lion, elephant...... The next night we camped in the middle of nowhere overlooking a sulphur filled crater. The next day we took a bit of a walk to our new campsite. It was 8 hours and i was glad to see the jeep. We saw the volcano. It looked amazing. We had about 3 hrs sleep before setting off just after midnight. The stars here are awesome! We got a pretty good pace going and it was tough work but we made the top for sunrise. It was an amazing view!! We also got to see REAL lava! It was very hot and eggy and a bit disconcerting hearing it swishing about but it was unreal! Best sight ever! Then we had to get back down :( i was so tired! The guide patrick was an awesome help! We had a quick lunch before heading off again! Everyone looked so funny with their faces covered in dust!-the dust ages everyone! We got back to uhuru at 10pm after setting off at 1pm! (saw a giraffe on the way!)
Moshi 7s news: Dalla Dalla is losing!
Bow tie news: Ross for making inappropriate comment, Ewan and Darren have also recieved it (cant remember what for!)
So today is Sunday and the day of rest! thankfully! Im off to Moshi town in a bit for some hair braiding and touristy buys! We head to morogoro tomorrow.

Good morning! mambo! This morning we are off to Uroki to finish the painting :D!! We are adding a gloss coat and as well as getting high on the intoxicating fumes it is looking rather good! We trained with Saweto last night and i even got to play :D. i forgot to mention out little bow tie awards we have each evening. Well i was awarded the bow tie last night and it means you have to wear it the whole of the following day. Nomination: booting a footy into a small child (by accident!) and slight gropage of Le Tonks buttock! Other well deserved winners have included Hedges for forgetting to change his clock the first night and hence getting him and his roomie up at 3am!; saskia for also touching of le tonks buttock with a massive wet paint hand print, Galls for not wearing a man u top to recieve 100 pound sponsorship for the small children of africa. His response "i have principles!" and a few more that im sure i will remember at a later date!
Tonight we are playing the older Saweto fotball players. I have confidence in the team (they're actually quite good!!) Well Kwaheri for now. Hope alls well back in Englandy land!x

Hey!
Thought i would update the page and let everyone who is following know what we are getting up to. So today we had the morning 'off'-prayer time and team time and then i headed into Moshi with Galls, Suz and Tom to get bus tickets, paints and browse!
We spent the afternoon at Amani childrens home. They have this amazing new building (photos to follow) We had lunch which was very yummy - some bean cuisine! we then spent the rest of the time playing - twister, facepaints and colouring in. In the eve we had a footy match against Seweto (younger team) and drew 1-1. Unfortunately Rabbi has done something to his hamstrings! (and by the way has new cool hair extensions and braids!)
I am now famous as a couple of days ago at a training session was interviewed for a radio station about football!! get in! Tomorrow is the a footy match against the kids at Amani.
Everyone seems well and happy. Boys are humming a bit from their recent game but they played very well :) Kwaheri for now x

The AFC Navs Tour Blog Is Back...

I'd like to say by popular demand but that would of course be riduculous! This is the place to catch all the latest tour updates though, as well as to update all your mates on our progress when the tour actually kicks off at the end of July. All the news, all the match reports and all the latest pics of Rabi in the buff will appear here first!

We'll also have some stuff appearing between now and July 27- fundraising news, up to date tour nicknames, discussions on team formation, the latest on Rufus Cockney's injured ankle and much, much more!

In the meantime, your fitness regime should be well underway. We are going to break with tradition this year and actually try to win some football matches! We are also gonna get to the top of that volcano or die trying so lets stick to one kebab a week and focus on the goal...
